blue roses my tribute to the beautiful blue and the significance of unattainable bliss
Symbolism : Love and prosperity for those who seek, also mystery or attaining the impossible or a never ending quest for the impossible and/or unattainable. They are believed to grant the owner/receiver youth or grant wishes. In Victorian times they symbolized love at first sight or being enchanted by someone or something. In Chinese folklore it symbolizes hope against unattainable love.
why the blue rose. the blue is the forgotten rose. also the most seductive. It has the most important symbolism.
It is my believe that the yearning or desire for the impossible is one on the most important quests one can take on in ones life.
Why?
By doing so we open ourselves up to the wonder of the child's uncorrupted unhindered mind
a way of seeing with the child's eyes A world where all things are possible.
As we grow older our frame of reference often shrinks. The daily suffocating routines of modern life. The un fulfilling job, the incomplete relationships, the diminished expectations, the settling for the mediocre or the just OK. The worst is the accepting of this incompleteness as final truth.
These all add up to imprison the mind , soul, and spirit, killing joy and the sense of wonder.
It's not a fast death, more like sinking in slow motion quicksand. taking a little more each day.
Until your left wondering what the hell went wrong .
The yearning for the impossible or unattainable counters this, by opening us up to 'the just maybe this can happen, maybe these impossible dreams and wishes just might come true. This at once brings about the joy of possibilities,in turn this energizes the mind and lifts the spirits. It breaks thru the torpor. loosening inertia. This state of mind is the real truth.
We are as much what we think as we are what we do. All actions initially start as thought. Lets make those thoughts great ones so what if people think your foolish or childish or any other unnecessary label. Let them suffer in their own limitations.whilst slowly sinking.
SO go ahead and plant a blue rose, and raise a toast to those who desire the impossible for they are the ones who create this world and the ones who you will follow.

Fun with scammers
If your one of the millions who get the phone sweepstakes scam, here is something you can do that is both fun and rewarding.
the phone scam goes like this: scammer calls saying you won a sweepstakes, in order to claim sweepstakes they want you to send a check or money order or western union.
The reason is usually for taxes. All REAL SWEEPSTAKES DON'T REQUIRE YOU TO SEND MONEY. This seems obvious but the desperate can get delusioned, some may not be able to understand and this is what they feed on. I am convinced that they have a list for likely targets,. If you have elderly parents they are most susceptible, and are ranked first on this unproven list.
On to the fun. This assumes you have some time to waste, and who doesn't when it comes to scammer fun.
Scammer callls saying you have won the sweepstakes.
First thing you do is ask them to repeat that, as you don't understand their accent
you can waste 4 or 5 minutes using this technique. always feign interest, you want them to be excited at the prospect of hooking a sucker. This is part of the fun.
After dangling the dope for a couple minutes. You say Oh sweepstakes, I thought you said ahhoka a wennny meba weepsticksy. or any kind of jibberish you want. Use your best excited voice, say something like i can't believe it, oh my, you can waste another minute by asking scam scum to wait while you tell everyone in your house. The scam skank will now believe he has the sucker hooked and is getting really excited.
You get back on the phone. saying how you really need the money and cant believe your good fortune, you can waste another couple minutes telling them what you will do with the money. You ask how you get the money and this is where it gets really fun
The scam skunk will say you need to send them some money in order to process the prize. You ask them to go into detail why they need to do this. always make them repeat.
This will waste another 5 or so minutes while still getting the scammer excited. Maintaining maximum scammer excitability is a prime goal. They will babble on about fees and other nonsense. They will ask you to wire the money. You waste another couple minutes asking them to explain how to do this. At this point the scammer's heart is really racing thinking the sucker has taken the bait.
After they explain how to wire money,you say something like, how about you send me the money without paying the fee and i will give you double what you ask. They will hesitate, then you go into the math lesson and explain in an excited voice how this is great for both of you. IF done right you have wasted another 5 minutes of their time. By now you are feeling good having put your creativity to good use.
Now you say ok I will wire the money. You can ask them to explain again why you need to do this. You can also tell them you cant wire it and you know they are scam scum, but its always good to keep them excited to strengthen the effect of defeat they will feel when no money shows up.
Now you are done you have wasted 20 minutes of the scammers time and you had a laugh at their expense. IF everyone does a variant of this maybe the scammers will give up. Unlikely but at least you won a small battle.
